The story

One truck. One yard.

Frank McCarthy started FMC in 1977 with a single truck working out of Ovens. The business grew with the local economy — feed mills, construction, the port.

Forty-nine years on, FMC operates 20 trucks and 130 trailers from the same yard. The trucks have changed. The trailers have changed. The principles haven't.

How we work
We now use technology and mobile connectivity to improve response times, accommodate special requests, offer flexible delivery schedules, or deal pro-actively with disruptions.
